Project Title: The Effects of Imagined Contact and Gender Labeling on Implicit and Explicit Attitudes Towards Individuals with Autism

Project Description: Gender bias in autism has long affected the way individuals are diagnosed with autism based on their gender, with females often being diagnosed far later in life. I will be analyzing the explicit and implicit attitudes college students have towards individuals with autism based on their gender label.  This can demonstrate how gender bias in autism may manifest in the attitudes towards individuals with autism as well as how imagined interactions can serve to reduce bias.
