As one of the very first disciplines taught at William & Mary, Classical Studies introduces students to the languages, histories and cultures of the ancient Mediterranean world through an interdisciplinary lens. Students engage deeply with texts, material culture and ideas that continue to shape modern thought and form the bedrock of the outstanding liberal arts education that is the hallmark of the William & Mary experience.
