For over three centuries, William & Mary has a rich history of preparing students to lead on the national and international stage. During William & Mary’s Year of Civic Leadership, W&M Government remains central to developing well-rounded thinkers and confident leaders of tomorrow grounded in an understanding of our communities, nation and world.
Government brings students into the study of politics, public policy and international relations through close engagement with ideas, institutions and ethical questions. Students explore political behavior from the local to the global level while developing strong analytical and communication skills.
Your support directly benefits students. Gifts fund scholarships, research opportunities, travel experiences and guest speakers that enrich the curriculum and connect students with practitioners and scholars. Contributions also help students pursue internships and projects that translate academic study into public impact.
By supporting Government, you help prepare students for informed, ethical leadership in public service, law, diplomacy and civic life.
