Arts & Sciences is the heart of William & Mary, rooted in a tradition of excellence in research, mentorship and hands-on learning. As the university’s largest academic unit, it encompasses over 40 departments and interdisciplinary programs spanning the arts & humanities, natural, physical and health sciences . • A&S Annual Fund (1413): Provides flexible support for departments and programs, ensuring excellence across Arts & Sciences.
• Summer Scholars Fund (5607): Gives every student the opportunity to engage in hands-on, mentored research—regardless of financial circumstances.
• Charles Center Internship Fund (5280): Supports students work alongside mentors to gain valuable experience researching and devising solutions to real-world problems.
A&S Challenges:
• The Council of Arts & Sciences challenge will unlock more than $130,000 when 2,500 donors make a gift to any area within Arts & Sciences
• $10,000 challenge fund to support the Dean’s Innovation Fund from Ted ’85 & Cathy ’86 Decker
