Gifts to Philosophy contribute to...
The study of philosophy cultivates essential skills in critical thinking, logical reasoning, clear communication and concise writing. Contributions from friends and alumni allow us to enrich the learning experience for our students while supporting the scholarly work of our faculty. Donations sustain a variety of extracurricular activities and meaningful philosophical projects that enhance our academic community. With donor support, we have been able to host a dynamic speaker series for students and faculty, organize our biennial department conference and annual student conference and maintain an active department reading group. Contributions also fund a generous senior student essay prize, a department mentoring program and the upkeep of our department library. At a time when the value of a liberal arts education and the humanities is often debated, we are especially grateful for your recognition of philosophy’s enduring significance. Your support helps ensure that students continue to engage deeply with the fundamental questions that shape human thought and society.
